During the Tokyo Olympics, the Supported Sports Ground was used as a third pitch for field hockey. Presently, this artificial grass ball court is used for track-and-field events (as a supplementary grounds), soccer, rugby football, American football, and lacrosse, and hosts matches in each of the respective sports. The field is equipped with nighttime lighting, and is available for night matches.
