Tokyo Olympic Memorial Gallery

Olympic-related reference materials mainly from the 1964 Games of the XVIII Olympiad in Tokyo (1964 Summer Olympics) are exhibited. In the permanent exhibits section, you can actually hold items used in the games including the Olympic flame relay torch (1.2kg) and feel its weight, as well as enjoying special event-specific exhibitions that run for a month at a time. Moreover, there is a “hands-on” zone to experience various sports, getting more familiar with world records. For group admissions such as elementary/junior high school visits, explanations and guides can be provided upon application in advance.
